My partner and I stayed at Bod Gwynedd for the Easter weekend. It’s in a quiet area of Betws y Coed, about 15 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes from shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a bus stop outside with buses to the Ogwen valley and Pen y Pass, making it a great base for hill walking, fell running or climbing. There are also plenty of trails in the forest behind the B&B or across the river for lower level walking, mountain biking, or running.The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, and very quiet.Jackie and Gary are friendly and helpful, and make a great breakfast!! Be sure to try Jackie’s special mushrooms (and learn the secret ingredient).We loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a home from home in Eryri. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing stay in a lovely location and we can’t wait to return. The B&B is lovely and it was so quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was amazing :).. The owners are super friendly and very knowledgeable of the local area.. Bed was so comfortable.. For me it’s the small details that make a difference big cups (not tiny tea cups) comfortable bedding and pillows and fluffy towels.. The room was immaculately clean. I would recommend anyone visiting the area to stay at Bod Gwynedd

Really enjoyed our stay, lovely view of trees from our room. Good base for walking, cycling and swimming. Also easy walk to Betws y Coed for evening meal. Breakfast at Bod Gwynedd was superb

We had a lovely few days at Bod Gwynedd. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and had little extras like fresh milk in the guest fridge! The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice and delicious mushrooms, Jackie's speciality! Best of all was the friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts, Gary and Jackie. Thank you for a great stay that even the Welsh rain could not dampen!

Our stay @ Bod Gwynedd was delightful one of the best breakfasts we have had fried eggs were the best ever our room was very warm & comfortable our hosts Gary & Jackie were very welcoming & friendly the view from our window of the autumn colours were amazing the parking was good we had a five minute walk to the village to get an evening meal @ the pub fish & chips or café we look forward to going again.

Gary and Jackie were very welcoming and accommodating hosts.The accomodation was perfect, and the ground floor King room had a very comfortable bed and was spotlessly clean. Each morning we were treated to a delicious high standard breakfast, and was provided with advice and tips on local walks and places to visit within the local vicinity.A perfectly location, only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village where there are a collection of pubs and restaurants in which to eat.Thank you both - we will return.

We spent three great days at Bod Gwynedd Bed and Breakfast : a delicious breakfast, a lovely room and very good advices to discover Betws y Coed and its surroundings. Thank you Jacky and Gary, it was our first time in Wales and we loved it !

We had a nice room, good hosts, who gave us good advice on restaurants and walks in the area. Well worth a return visit!

At walking distance from the village centre and the waterfall. Breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere very enjoyable, helped by the lovely artwork. Jackie and Gary are great hosts and helpfull for all inquiries including great hikes. As well as help with car trouble ... thanks!!

We recently stayed at Bod Gwynedd Bed & Breakfast during my Snowdon climbing trip, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location near Betws-y-Coed is perfect for accessing Snowdon's trails via the S1 bus right outside your doorstep. The hosts were welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.The accommodation was charming with cosy rooms and beautiful countryside views. The breakfast, made with local ingredients, was delicious and hearty. The hosts went above and beyond to accommodate dietary preferences.What truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality provided by the owners. They shared advice or general conversation, and provided information packs and showed a genuine care for their guests. Free Wi-Fi and comfortable common areas were additional amenities that enhanced the stay.Bod Gwynedd Bed & Breakfast is a perfect base for Snowdon climbers. With its ideal location, charming accommodation, delicious breakfast, and outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend it for an unforgettable stay in Snowdonia National Park.

We spent a lovely few days at this B+B, the hosts were so friendly and helpful in every way, breakfast was very good, room was very nice and comfortable, we would definitely come again and the Welsh Cakes were great.

A splendid B&B, which I wholeheartedly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful time in North Wales or for a great location close to paths for hiking or walking next to the Afon Llugwy. The breakfast was also amazing and the hosts are extremely kind!

We stayed in Bod Gwenydd a few weeks ago when our Ramblers group had a walking holiday based in Betws y Coed. Jackie and Gary were superb hosts giving a lot of information about places to eat and drink. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. Superb breakfast with Jackie's special recipe mushrooms.

What an amazing few days away in Betws-y-coed.Our hosts were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.Our room was warm and inviting. The four poster bed very comfortable and the room tray well stocked with refills on request.The home cooked breakfast was the perfect start to a long day of exploring and Jacquie’s choice Of local sausage and special recipe mushrooms were delicious.The BnB is perfectly situated to explore on foot all that Betws-y-coed had to offer and a short drive from other local sites of interest.We visited Sygun Copper mine and enjoyed a short walk from there to near by Beddgelert.As well as being a perfect host Jacquie is a talented artist and many of her pieces are displayed ( for sale) around the BnB as well as in the local art shop and other local venues.I can’t wait to return and I’m sure I will purchase more of her exceptional artistic interpretations of the local area.I can’t recommend highly enough.

Mu cousin & I really enjoyed our stay at Bod Gwynedd. Jackie & Gary were excellent hosts who welcomed us warmly and made sure that our every need was well catered for. We really appreciated our ground floor room and being able to park right at the front door was a real bonus.And what a lovely touch it was to be given a couple of freshly made and truly delicious Welsh cakes to keep us going enroute.

We had a lovely warm welcome from Jackie on arrival. She explained about the breakfasts, fridge for milk etc, everything was straightforward.The room very comfy, everything we needed.Fabulous breakfast, my dietary requirements easily catered for, we only needed tea and cake between breakfast and evening meal!Easy walking to village centre with some great places for an evening meal.We had a lovely long weekend and can definitely recommend.

Jackie & Gary made us very welcome, explaining all the facilities and - most importantly - the breakfast pre-order.Breakfast itself was great, any range of options you wanted.Location is a short walk from Betws-y-Coed centre, really shouldn't be a problem if you're in the hill walking fraternity.Recommended.

We arrived to a smile welcoming face. Given details about our room, breakfast times ect.The room was very spacious, ensuite,bed was lovely and comfortable, we take our own pillows but didn't need them here.We were atthe end of a main road, which we didn't hear any traffic at night. The restaurants and other facilities were only a very short walk away. Jackie and Gary gave us ideas for walks, and visits. I will definately be booking again. They both went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Oh and did I mention the breakfast is to die for 😀 wr had to go walking everyday to walk it off. Fabulous through and through

The Bed and Breakfast is located in a lovely town which already offers beautiful hikes to choose from. Our room was very cozy and we were always looking forward to the breakfast. Water and milk for an afternoon tea were always provided by the hosts and you could ask anytime about hikes or other recommendations for things to do. Thank you for the nice time!

Beautiful, quiet and cosy house with off-road parking situated on the edge of Betws-y-Coed but within easy walking to the centre of the village and restaurants, pubs, art and crafts etc. Fantastic hosts with much knowledge of things to do and see. excellent breakfast and very tasty Welsh cakes too!

This is a veritable gem of a B&B set conveniently on the edge of Betws-y - Coed. Jackie and Gary were helpful with good advice from the start and they went to the trouble to ensure that the breakfasts were prepared exactly to each individual requirement. The fruit was very varied and very fresh and then followed by a delicious cooked meal.The rooms and en - suites we’re well appointed with quality fitments , strong shower and de - misting mirrors. The beds were very comfortable King sized.There was also an off road car park which we were able to leave the car after booking out for our final day’s walkalong the river opposite.We would most definitely recommend Bod Gwynedd and hope to return in the near future.Thanks Jackie and Gary , the Welsh cakes were delicious!

We stayed for 4 nights and had a great time. Nice welcome from Jacky on arrival. The room was very comfortable and a great powerful shower and nice towels. Good to have toiletries provided as well. Very comfortable beds which is much needed after days out walking.Great breakfast with lots to choose from. Jacky and Gary are mines of information. We stayed for a 2 night break at Bod Gwynedd and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a warm welcome from Jackie and Gary who were very friendly. The rooms and bathroom were very clean and nicely decorated, very cosy and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and we were well rested for our walks. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Good location as a short walk to the centre of Betws-y-coed. Highly recommend

Bod Gwynedd is great B and B and Jackie is a wonderful host, cooks a fine breakfast and has excellent local knowledge.

My husband and I went to Bod Gwynedd in Betws-y-Coed this Easter and had a wonderful time. The location of the Bed and Breakfast cannot be beaten. It is walking distance to anything you want to see in Betws-y-Coed but off city center so parking and crowds are not a problem. The location is also a great jumping point for hiking Snowdon or a short drive to visit the northern Welsh coast. Lastly, the owners Gary and Jackie were wonderful hosts. The breakfasts are made to order and everything you could want is provided. A must stay if you are visiting Snowdonia.

This little gem of a B& B is a just an absolute lovely place to stay!Jackie and Gary cannot do enough for you to make you feel welcomed and really go out their way to make your stay comfortable.They even allowed us to use their drying room to dry our walking kit after a very wet and windy day out walking!The food is lovely with lots of choice. Wow! What an amazing little gem of a B&B set in an idyllic location within easy reach of all that this area has to offer, including mountain climbing, the worlds largest zip wire, beautiful beaches and the stunning scenery.It has some fantastic walks right on the doorstep and is only a ten minute walk away from the many restaurants, shops and cafes.The B&B itself is immaculately clean and has absolutely everything you could need for a relaxing, comfortable stay. The food is beautiful and there is so much choice. Jackie and Gary are the perfect hosts, they’re accommodating, extremely helpful but know when to give you your own space.We absolutely loved, loved, loved our stay here!! We’ll definitely return!

We had a brilliant time in Betws-y-Coed which was completed with our stay here. The room was lovely, and spacious. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, offering us advise on different walks and means of getting to them. The breakfast was delicious and set you up for whatever you planned to do that day.The location was excellent, just outside the centre of Betws-y-coed allowed your accomodation to be quiet and peaceful, without ever having to travel far for food and other local amenities.100% would recommend.

We have just returned from an amazing seven night stay at Bod Gwynedd. The house was perfectly situated in the heart of Snowdonia within minutes of stunning scenery. The hosts are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble especially recommendations of places to visit, in particular Cwm Idwal, what a perfect end to our week. I’m going to miss the big comfy bed, the power shower and the view from our room. The breakfasts were scrumptious, especially the mushrooms ????Is it a secret ingredient? ???? They kept us going for the whole day We felt very safe on our stay with very thoughtful Covid safe measures put in place, the facilities for recycling were fabulous. Plenty of free parking at Bod Gwynedd or just in front of the house. We could have easily spent another week here. It was great to meet both of you you were smashing hosts

We (a group of four adults) had a lovely 3-night stay at Bod Gwynedd. Email communications with the hosts beforehand were friendly and prompt. The place itself was cosy, the rooms comfortable and quiet (with great beds and powerful showers), there was handy on-site parking, and the breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect: very close to Betws-Y-Coed (only a 5-minute walk), but not too close so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the Welsh countryside. It is also close to any of the Snowdon hiking trails, especially if you're planning to start from Pen-Y-Pass. Friendly hosts Jackie and Gary went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, and know a lot about the area. They recommended beautiful sights, good restaurants, and fun things to do, and were always available when anything was needed. Book your stay here - you won't regret it!

We stayed here as we climbed Snowdon and the hosts were very accommodating. Lots of info provided for walks, food and activities and the room was very clean. A bit warm at night and if you leave the window open, you will be woken by sheep baaa’ing….but that’s just Wales! Would recommend this for location (lots of restaurants and pubs down the road) and only 30 min drive to llanberis (where we started our hike up Snowdon)

A great B&B in Betws-y-Coed, a five minute walk from the pubs and restaurants in the centre. We climbed Snowden whilst staying here and the B&B was ideally placed a 15 minute drive away from the Pen-y-Pass car park. Jackie and Gary were lovely hosts and cooked us an incredible breakfast every morning of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Thank you Jackie and Gary for a wonderful stay!

A great place to stay, Jackie was full of information regarding walks and places to go.Completely compliant in regards to Covid making us feel much happier. Room was a good size and had everything we needed, breakfast was fabulous every day.Would stay again if in the area and would definately recommend.Stayed September 2020.

We had a fantastic time at Bod Gwynedd. Jackie and Gary were the perfect hosts. Jackie’s knowledge of mountain bike routes was amazing. The full English breakfast was great and set us up for the day ahead (the mushrooms really great secret family recipe!). We will definitely be going back.

This B&B is ideal in every way. Less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Betws-y-coed it is away from the crowds and a pleasant walk after a night in the Town. With the COVID restrictions it is evident that Jackie and Gary have thought about how they can maintain their business whilst ensuring the safety of its guests. Not all rooms are filled and breakfast is chosen the previous day and, is done in two sittings to ensure social distancing. In the communal areas, masks are to be worn although crossover between people is very limited to non existent.Moving on, the accommodation is very clean, the breakfasts are very good and the hosts are really attentive. Jackie and Gary are great and offer a lot of advice and recommendations to ensure their guests have plenty of options whether you are staying for a few days or a week.Bod Gwynedd is a perfect B&B in an ideal location and a good base from which to explore the magic of Snowdonia and surrounding areas.Highly recommended.P.S. The homemade Welsh Cakes are very good.

What a lovely and well-maintained B&B in a very good location! Bod Gwynedd sits just outside of the main hustle and bustle of the town but within easy walking distance of the shops/restaurants etc. Clean and comfortable rooms (very Covid safe) which are freely and frequently replenished with tea/coffee/milk/biscuits/water. Nice choice of both off and on road parking. Great, welcoming and very friendly hosts who have a wealth of knowledge about the area and who are only too willing to recommend/advise on the numerous walks and attractions in and around the area. Last but not least, the breakfast is fabulous - perfectly cooked with plenty of choice on offer and it certainly sets you up for the day! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and look forward to doing so in the not too distant future. Thank you Jackie and Gary for being the perfect hosts!

We had a wonderful stay at this great B&B! Jackie and Gray are kind and friendly hosts who have lots of great recommendations for resturants and pubs in the village as well as hints and ideas for walks in the local area. The room was the perfect size for the two of us and with all the changes that have had to happen, its clear that everything has been thought of, making our stay feel as 'normal' as possible. Each morning we got adelicious breakfast and never wanted for anything, the cooked welsh breakfast powered us up Snowdon no problem! We couldn't recommend this great B&B anymore and we hope to be back soon!

We had such a lovely time staying at Bod Gwynedd B&B this weekend. The room was very comfortable and clean and had plenty of space. The bed was super comfy and we both had a great night sleep. The breakfast was excellent and you could tell that local, good quality ingredients were used...we were even given a still warm, homemade welsh cake for our departure, which was delicious!! We will definitely be returning the next time we get a night away from the kiddies!

We came across Bod Gwynedd when looking for a conveniently located B&B in Betws y Coed. From booking and finalising details because of a later arrival, Bod Gwynedd was very understanding and kept us updated throughout. A warm friendly welcome upon arrival set the tone for a great stay. Bod Gwynedd offer fabulous rooms, spacious, well equipped and with an excellent bed. Parking is available at the property and on the main road as well. Only a few minutes walk into Betws y Coed, it is in a great spot. Breakfast is excellent, plentiful and well presented. The mushrooms are soo tasty!Simply couldnt have chosen a better place to stay in Betws y Coed and I definitely highly recommend Bod Gwynedd.

This place has everything you need in a B&B: luxurious, powerful shower; comfy, cloud-like beds; and friendly owners who are more than knowledgeable about the local area. We stayed only for one night, and as we had to be up super early to climb Snowdon (the Pen-y-Pass car park is only 20mins drive), they very kindly swapped our breakfast, which we missed, for a packed lunch. The house is lovely and our room was great. We enjoyed watching the house martins diving about. The breakfasts were made to order and very tasty indeed. Jackie was able to accommodate a few last minute requests for which I was very grateful. Book it! You won’t be disappointed.

4 of us stayed here for two nights. We were very impressed with the warm welcome. Jackie and her partner could not have done more for us. They were extremely helpful in providing local information and guidance on planning our events. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was of a very high quality. When we return to north Wales we will definitely look at availability at this lovely B&B.

If you want a peaceful place to stay then this is the place to book.We were welcomed by the most lovely owner who let us book in early.The b and b was beautifully decorated and the rooms were spacious and clean.Little touches were well thought out like a guest fridge and places to store bikes.There is a car park to the rear of b and b but off road parking was never a problem as it was a few minutes walk away from the main town/village.Nothing was too much trouble for this absolutely well run place.Highly recommended and would definitely book in again.

Bod Gwynedd is genuinely the best B&B we've ever been to. The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Jackie and Gary (the owners) are warm and friendly people who have a great knowledge of the area and are more than happy to help guests plan what to do (and where to eat!) during their stay.Our only thing we would like to have been different was that the mattress we were on had gone overly soft in some areas which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep on.

Jackie & Gary couldn’t have been more gracious. Great room, bed, etc and delicious breakfast.Thanks for directing us to The National Granite Museum.Well worth the visit.If ever in the area again we will definitely stay again.

I booked this hotel for my mum and her husband, and they both loved the stay. They were hiking up to Tryfan mountain and it was the best location to stop by and relax after a good hike. Friendly owners and they replied quick to my email enquiry about the check in time. It was very nice of them to have my mum and her husband check in early so they can go for a wonderful hiking day in the afternoon. They said they will definitely come again and bring a group of people next time they come. Xx

Was an exellent property with a very clean, tidy and modern design, the bed was very comfortable. The cook breakfast was very tastey.

We recently spent the weekend at Bod Gwynedd and had an amazing time. We were greeted quickly and without any problems. There is such a friendly atmosphere that you really feel at home. The rooms were perfect, comfortable, cosy and clean! The hosts were super kind and the breakfasts were delicious! The hosts were very approachable and knowledgable of the surrounding area, suggesting places to go. Would definitely recommend. Will be sure to book again whenever I plan on going back to snowdonia!

Bod Gwynedd is one of those B&Bs that you dream of every time you venture on to the internet to book accommodation. It’s clean, comfortable, welcoming, well appointed and well located. We had a wonderful time at Bod Gwynedd B&B. The room was very comfortable which included an ensuite. Little touches such as tea/ coffee making facilities including biscuits and Netflix on the tv made our stay very pleasent. Jackie went out of her way to help make our stay special and made some fantastic recommendations. Great cooked breakfast included in the price of our stay. I would highly recommend staying in this b&b.

We came for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious! Jacky gave us some good tips on where to go and the bnb was close to the town for good places to eat in the evening. We wish we could have stayed longer.

You couldn't ask for a more hospitable, friendly place to stay. They went out of their way to make the rooms work for six blokes on their way to Snowdon. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast was fantastic. Also an easy walk into Betws y Coed. Highly recommended.

We stayed for three nights. Our hosts, Jackie and Gary, were so lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic breakfast, lots of choice and cooked to order. The accommodation was spotless and the room, very comfortable. Tea, coffee, biscuits, bottled water and chocolates all provided. A fridge is also available for the use of guests. The location was perfect. A short walk to the lovely village with great restaurants, bars and cafes. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again.

This was our second time at Bod Gwynedd in less than 10 months, beautiful setting and great B&B. Myself and my sister stayed in the twin room, very comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast is lovely, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals, followed by a cooked breakfast. Approximately 7-8 min walk into Betws-y-Coed. Highly recommended and we'll be back.

We have just arrived home having spent a couple of days out and about in Snowdonia National Park. Our base for the two nights was Bod Gwynedd B&B, owned and run by Jacky and Gary. They were welcoming as well as very informative about the local area, which proved extremely useful. Our room was beautifully presented, clean and cosy, as for our breakfast, we never new a full English could be so healthy cooked on an Aga and as for Gary's fruit salad, only to be matched by Jacky's mushrooms!! Lovely B&B Exactly what we wanted. Room was clean tidy the food was good. Jackie was very accommodating offering us sandwiches for our journey home and they even dried our clothes after a day in the mountains.Would recommend and will definitely be returning.

We stayed just 1 night but this beautiful place was second to none. After a day of climbing mountains the comfort of our room was just what we needed to unwind. Jackie met us at the door and was ready to cater to our needs. This place leaves no stones unturned. If you are walking in Wales, this is the place to come. Very friendly, comfortable room, great food and expert knowledge of the walking routes in the area, including Snowdon which is 13 miles from doorstep to summit, if you want a good stretch of the legs! Will definitely stay there again :-)

the 2 day stay was a very last minute decision but was well worth it we where made very welcome from a moment we arrived. breakfast was very good and plenty of selection so all taste where catered for including my own love of marmite.

Situated just outside the hustle and bustle of Betws-y-Coed's main street (though an easy walk to everything), Bod Gwynedd boasts beautiful rooms and some of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept upon. Gary and Jackie are wonderful proprietors -- helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Breakfast was equally fabulous. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

excellent days at this location

A few years ago we travelled to snowdonia and stopped off in a town for some dinner and always talked about how nice the town is. We never knew the name so couldn't find it again.We recently booked another weekend in snowdonia and guess what,the B and B was in the beautiful town we ate at a few years before. The scenery in and around the town is beautiful with a river running through it. The B and B is perfect location for almost everything in snowdonia and the hosts are lovely people. The rooms are very nicely decorated and you don't hear anyone or see anyone else staying there. It's as though you have the place to yourselfThe breakfast was very nice especially the fresh mixed fruit and of course - the fry up!I can't fault this place and the town is full of places to eat and Inge to do. Please stay here!

My son and I have just come back from a lovely stay at Bod Gwynedd. They have thought of everything. A warm friendly welcome without being too intrusive. The room was perfect, spotless and had all we needed..including a communal guest fridge with proper milk for our cuppa! A Perfect breakfast hit the spot before our exploring. Great location. Betws-y-Coed itself is lovely with some really good restaurants 10 minutes away. After a long day climbing Snowdon, it was great to come back to our room. They even have Netflix which pleased my son. And we had a great nights sleep in the super comfortable beds. Highly recommended, really, you have to come here if you visit North Wales. Oh and the warm Welsh cakes gift as we checked out was much appreciated...delicious!

Bod Gwynedd is a beautiful guest house. Very clean and well presented. Our room was beautiful with a four poster bed, lovely light and airy and clean. The bathroom was very clean and stocked with toiletries. Tea and coffee was well stocked with added biscuits. We had a window seat and loved looking up and down the village with trees and a river across the road. The hosts Jackie and Gary were friendly and approachable and very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was cleaned and re stocked on our second day. We loved the morning daily weather forecast board for the mountains and their summits. The breakfast was lovely and very filling, it was healthy and well presented, with a good choice of extras. I noticed the front garden was well kept and there is a private driveway at the back of the property for your car. There is a bus stop just outside in the Lay by and we were informed of this by Jackie and Gary that a bus travels to Snowdon and back each day which meant we didn't have to drive.We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Bod Gwynedd again when we are back in the area to explore... now all I have to do is book a date to return.

We staged three nights in a vers comfortable ROM with everything you could wish for. Breakfast was also really good and you could ordet to you own wishes. The hostesser Jackie is a very nice person and does everything to make you feel at home, without being pushy. Location is superb five minuts walk from the centre of Betis-y-Coed. Absolutely recommendable!

our mission was to climb Snowdon and was recommended to stay in Betws y Coed. We searched the internet to find a high rating B&B to provide us with exactly the best bed and the best breakfast in the area. Not only did we get that but more. Both Gary & Jackie made the experience even better. As soon as we pulled up we were greeted with such a nice couple who knew everything about the area and what we were looking for. Looking to get into the business ourselves we'll be definitely taking advice from this couple. Room clean, bed was so comfy and breakfast to die for. Area was beautiful and an ideal location. Only one criticism Jackie didn't make enough of those welsh cakes to take back with us.

Bod Gwynedd was perfect. We were treated like friends by Jackie and Gary, our room was beautiful and everything was provided for our comfort, even bottled water and chocolates as well as tea, coffee and biscuits daily. We could easily walk into town too.

I highly recommend this establishment.A perfect stay followed by a delicious breakfast.

We had a lovely stay at Bod Gwynedd over May bank holiday weekend 2017.Gary and Jackie were excellent hosts, welcoming us quite late at night even though they were up early to prepare the (yummy) breakfast.Both Jackie and Gary knew the area inside and out and were able to direct us on some beautiful walks.Gary had his finger on the pulse of events in the surrounding area and spared us the experience of a victorian weekend in Llandudno, directing us on a brilliant walk instead.Breakfast was perfect, our room was clean with an enormous comfy bed, the shower was hot with plenty of pressure, and we felt we had the privacy needed for a relaxing weekend away.We can't rate Bod Gwynedd highly enough and would definitely return.Betws-y-coed is a lovely town with some good places to eat at very reasonable prices and a great, friendly atmosphere.It is very well connected for some great walks in Snowdonia.

We stayed at Bod Gwynedd for one night in April. The room was immaculately clean, and Jackie gave us good advice on where to eat and the best way to walk into Betws-y-Coed from the B&B. On leaving we were also presented with some freshly-baked Welsh Cakes (which were the best I've ever had). Breakfast was generous and of a high standard, and we both got an excellent night's sleep. I would stay again without hesitation.

Leave aside for a second this amazing little village which by itself hold beautiful views of forest and architecture. Lets talk about this amazing B&B situated just right, not too close and not too far from the center of town as the sign on the wall outside the front door states' " there are no strangers here ..."It's run by a lovely couple who are more then welcoming and helpful with any need you might have . The interior is clean and beautiful, nicely designed rooms (fresh and new) which hold all the facilities you might need and much more (not mentioning the stunning views outside your windows).Breakfast is more then you an ask for, for a veterinarian like myself - I found many options to choose from.Upon our departure , Jacky would not let us leave before handing us some freshly baked Walsh scones .I hope I made myself clear

We booked here for one night before heading to Capel Curig for a weekend course at the Mountain Centre. This is a really lovely, friendly, comfortable B&B, a little outside the village centre but within easy walking distance of the restaurants and shops. Nothing was too much trouble for Jackie, who even provided a plastic bag to save our walk book from certain death by drowning, after I forgot my map case. We will be back!

Can you relax, rest and have adventure all in one holiday? The answer is a load yes! At Bod Gwynedd you get a good breakfast, good advice for some fun activities to do in the surrounding areas, good tv, dvd's, good nights rest and clean rooms daily. I def recommend this B & B.

We had a great 3 night stay in the Bod Gwynedd B&B. Jacky & Gary were very friendly and welcoming hosts. The room was very comfy, clean and quiet. The breakfast was excellent, and our room was well stocked with water, tea & coffee, and bisquits. We would definitely recommend this B&B !

We stayed at Bod Gwynedd for one night and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Jackie and Gary were wonderful hosts - Jackie even came outside to help when we were struggling to park! They gave us great advice on where to go for our evening meal, helped us plan our walk to Swallow Falls the next day (which was fabulous!) and even gave us a couple of welsh cakes for the road. We stayed in room 4 which was beautiful, comfortable, spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious and the location is perfect. We will definitely be staying here again!

Stayed at this beautiful establishment for two nights for a quiet get away to recharge. What a welcome and very high standard of accommodation. Lovely 3 night stay, everything you need in the room and after a good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed you have a filling breakfast to set you up for the day. Jackie & Gary very helpful about local knowledge.

The breakfast was lovely and the town itself was very pretty with lots of amenities making for a comfortable stay. Plenty of lovely walks in the immediate area. We had the best time over 3 nights August Bank holiday at Bob Gwynedd. We come to Betws-y-Coed every year but it was the 1st time here, the food and beds was amazing. We stayed at Bod Gwynedd for three nights. The room was lovely, with tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities and much appreciated fresh milk available - a very nice touch. Brand new double glazing meant the room was very quiet even though the B&B is next to the main road.The cooked breakfast was delicious with the welcome option of a packed lunch alternative, for anyone wanting to leave very early in the morning. Overall, a lovely stay, with wonderfully welcoming, personable hosts.

Our stay was worth every penny! Jackie was a lovely host, the B&B was clean and tidy, the room has plenty of facilities and the bed was a luxury.We slept with the sash windows open & fell asleep to the sound of the river and were greeted with a smile in the morning & fed a delicious breakfast that kept us fuelled for our walk.The down sides of the B&B, well there wasn't even one! This is a lovely house, bright and tastefully decorated,with much thought for a guest's comfort.We were welcomed with a pot of tea, much appreciated after travel, and given all the information we needed for our stay.The breakfast selection was very appealing, with a big bowl of fresh fruit to start and a generous cooked course to follow. What lovely hosts!! Extremely welcoming and friendly. From offering to pick us up from the train station, to personally driving us to see Swallow Falls on our last morning, as we hadn't managed the walk with the very wet weather! And then dropping us at the station for home. Plus everything in between they kindly did to make our 20th wedding anniversary stay a wonderful weekend!! Breakfast was fantastic. Full English aswel as cereals, fruits, yoghurts, juices and more. Really sets you up for the day and all served with a smile and friendly conversation and useful information of the places to visit and things to do in Betsw y Coed and surrounding valleys. Rooms immaculately clean and comfortable, very tasteful decor. You would never know Jackie and Gary are very new to the business! A perfect weekend, From being welcomed at the door by a very Smiley Jackie, room was gorgeous with lots of small touches. Jackie is the perfect host and couldn't do enough to help us. We have visited Betws-y-Coed several time in the past few years and have stayed at Bod Gwynedd.The location is ideal, right by the River Llugwy, a short walk from the Miners Bridge and not far from Swallow falls.The house is on the outskirts of the village and has good parking facilities.Jackie and Gary, our hosts, made us feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure that guests had all they needed for a relaxing stay. They have recently taken over Bod Gwynedd are continuing the high standards of the previous owners.We particularly like the thoughtful touches such as providing maps and guidebooks for visitors to use during their stay.Also the home-baked Welsh cakes given as a parting gift.Our room on the ground floor was excellent and the quality of the breakfast was the best we had on our trip.Thoroughly recommended as a home-from-home whilst in Wales.

The stay at Bod Gwynedd was fantastic! The owner, Beverley, was very welcoming and friendly and made you feel right at home. We stayed for two nights over the Snowdonia Half Marathon weekend in the four poster bedroom. The room was very tidy with a lovely en suite and the mattress was extremely comfortable. Full range of breakfasts were offered, including salmon. Beverley would stop and chat and made our stay really enjoyable. We definitely recommend Bod Gwynedd and we will be staying there again.

Just had a couple of nights at Bod Gwynedd, as always the rooms, breakfast, and assistance were just superb.Looking forward to our next trip for walking or mountain biking.Excellent

Our family of five had a great stay at this lovely B&B located in charming Betws-y-Coed. Both adults and children felt very welcomed and taken care of. The standard of the rooms and beds were also excellent. We will come back for sure!

Such a lovely place to stay. Warm welcome with freshly made tea, coffee and Welsh Cakes. Everything has been thought out and catered for to the smallest detail. We had Room 3, which has a four poster bed. Breakfast was high high quality and very tasty. One of the best places we have ever stayed in. We'll be back again very soon.

The signage of the B&B is brightly lit so it is easy to find the exact locations of the house.2) Upon check-in, both Beverley & Joseph gave us a very warm welcome. They are friendly & cheerful - a nice & sweet couple.Our room (Room number 5) was spacious, with ensuite toilet. The bed was huge and comfortable, with nice pillows and duvet comforter. It's a nice personal touch that there is a tray with hot flask to boil some water for coffee/tea, cookies, chocolates too. For the ensuite toilet, it was very clean and bright along wih a mini basket of toiletries and bottles of body & hand washes.3) There was a Breakfast sheet to indicate your selection of food - this is very well-organised (one of the firsts which we ever come across while staying in B&Bs in many countries).The hot breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked, non-oily, served with coffee/tea. There is also a selection of fruit salad, cereals, fruit juices in a cosy dining area.4) Upon check-out after staying for two nights, Beverley also gave us some homemade Welsh Cakes which she had baked herself. This is so heartwarming, indeed!Overall, we would strongly recommend as a first choice option for B&B when you're travelling to areas around Snowdonia, Wales UK. It is a great place to stay and most importantly, Beverley & Joseph are such fabulous hosts which made our stay a memorable one with personal touches.We look forward to stay again (and again!) if we are travelling to Wales, UK. It was the perfect place to stay in Betws-y-Coed. It was really nice to stay an 8 minute walk from the centre because you can see it can actually get quite bustling on the weekend. Beverley made us feel so welcome and relaxed. She was just so great and easy to talk to. She even baked some Bara Brith for us when we left! Thank you! :-)

We received a friendly welcome, the room was immaculate, homely and had everything we needed. We received lots of information on the surrounding area and had a great meal in a local pub just outside of town.It is also just a short stroll to Betws-y-Coed centre.Breakfast was hot and delicious and set us up for our busy day ahead.Would definitely recommend the Bod Gwynedd.

We were on a touring holiday in our sports car with two others. Bev and Joe looked after us fantastically and could not do enough for us. The room was very nice and the breakfast excellent. They even closed the gate to keep our cars secure when we were out walking! A nice touch to have warm Welsh Cakes given to us as we left.

We got a late booking, we got lucky with this B&B, very friendly welcome, super comfy bed and very well presented. Very good breakfast. Unfortunately they were full for the next few days, but found us somewhere close by to stay. Left with some delicious welsh bara brith cake. Thanks very much. Neil & Janice

This was our second stay here and it was just as good as the first. We stayed in rofom 1 super king size. Lovely bed with luxury linen, spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Bev is really lovely and a wonderful hostess, makes you really welcome and cannot do enough for you. This B&B is rated number 1 for good reason. If your planning a trip to Betws this is the place to stay. Oh I nearly forgot the breakfast, my partner Emma loved the bowl of fresh fruit and the cooked breakfast is excellently cooked using quality ingredients. Perfect all around.

Fabulous night stay last weekend with a great location for walking into Betws and ample parking at Bod Gwynedd. Fantastic accommodation with a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. You never know what it's going to be like when you book accommodation now having been to bod Gwynedd for 3 nights I can report that it was special. Joseph and Beverley were great hosts, the accommodation was spotless and our twin bedded room(5) was ideal with all the comfort and accessories of a 5star hotel,not to mention the delicious breakfast.good location within walking distance of the centre of Betws-y-coed. What a gorgeous place - comfortable, perfectly located and the most amazing breakfast!

We stayed here whilst celebrating my birthday with an adventure weekend. The buliding is lovely, the garden well tended, the room was exceptionally comfortable with lovely decor and a 4 poster bed. The owner was so nice and interested in our weekend. The breakfasts were delicious with plenty of food on offer. My girlfriend was able to choose different breakfasts rather than the cooked one. The B&B is ideally placed for walking into Betsw-y-coed and parking at the B&B was simple. We will most definitely stay at this B&B again.

A beautiful furnished place with little extra touches dotted around everywhere. Modern yet chic and stylish and very homely. Nothing was too much trouble for Beverley who goes above and beyond to accommodate all who stay there, Beverley ensured that we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay! Fantastic knowledge of the local area and places to eat and visit. Games, DVD's and leaflets galore are a plenty and those little chocolates on the mugs were a winner! Have just enjoyed a 3 night stay with Bev, a gorgeous bnb in Beyws-y-coed, Bev is an awesome host, very friendly and approachable, gave us great restaurant recommendations and did the bookings. The bed was so comfortable, room very clean and breakfast outstanding. You can't go past this BnB. It is awesome!!

Charming B&B on the outskirts of Betws-y-Coed, run by the wonderful and friendly Beverley and Joe. The rooms are luxurious and very clean, the bathrooms are modern and spotless. Breakfast is delicious, with more than just the usual continental and full English options. Each room has a kettle for tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, and every day the bottled water and biscuits are refreshed. It is less than one block away from the Sherpa bus stop which takes you to the tracks up Snowdon and around the National Park. Swallow Falls is just a 20 minute walk away. There is a lot of private parking space, and extra on the side of the road. Bev is full of good advice for walks, sights, and also where to eat in town.This is one of the best B&B's we've ever been to! Thanks Bev and Joe for a wonderful stay.

Could not fault our one night stay at Bod Gwynedd. Made to feel very welcome. Rooms exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast lovely. Our teenagers were well impressed! Highly recommend. We hope to return for a further stay and explore the area more fully.

Just come back from a two night stay at Bod Gwynedd. I was met by Joe and showed to room 1 which was beautifully furnished. Really comfy bed with good quality bedding. Bathroom was great with lovely toiletries. Bev arrived to make a cup of tea and to place fresh flowers in the room. Tea, coffee, bottles of water and biscuits in the room. Breakfast was very good and nothing was too much for Beverly and Joe. They are a lovely couple who always had time to chat and directed me to places of interest and where to eat a good meal. Will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay and thank you for the lovely warm homemade Welsh cakes you gave me on leaving.

What a great find, Bev and Jo could not have been more helpful. The comfortable bedroom even had fresh roses to make you feel at home. Cooked Breakfast was superb with a great choice and wonderful prepared fresh fruits. Secure car parking and so close to everything. Would highly recommend staying here. Bev cooked us yummy Welsh cakes to eat on our journey home.

Four friends and I stayed at Bod Gwynedd B&B for 3 nights from 11th June.Bev and Joe, mine hosts, were absolutely brilliant, friendly, accommodating, caring and thoughtful.The breakfasts were delicious and fulfilling.The accommodation was spotless and modern catering for every need down to the fact that one of our party had forgotten to bring her hair straighteners and without a moments hesitation Bev appeared with a pair for her to borrow for the duration of our stay.We were all delighted with our stay and would certainly use this B&B again if returning to that particular area of Wales.Thanks again Bev and Joe for welcoming us into your wonderful home and making us feel so at home. We had a lovely stay with Bev and Joe. Their B&B is top quality and they really made us feel at home. Bev even made some welsh cakes for us to take when we left. It is situated just outside Betws-y-Coed with an easy walk to restaurants and shops. We stayed in room 2 downstairs and it was very comfortable.

A wonderful stay made even more so by the great hospitality. Lovely breakfast, lots of info on the local area and we couldn't have been looked after any better!

The room was nicely appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean.Breakfast was a treat, the cooked full English breakfast and salmon and scrambled egg were delicious and the fresh fruit salad refreshing.The house was in a good location about five minutes walk from the village overlooking the wooded hillside.

We stayed for four nights and I would thoroughly recommended this B&B. Our double room was a great size with ample storage, furnished and equiped to a high standard. Lovely comfortable four poster bed. Bathroom was a good size, very clean with a great power shower. But the best thing overall was our host Beverley. She made us feel very welcome on arrival, very friendly and full of advice on where to go for walks. Also offered to book restaurants for us, which is a big plus with short notice at a busy time of year. Also makes a great breakfast! A quiet and idyllic retreat after a long drive and a trek up Snowdon, Bod Gwynedd lived up to all our expectations. Never was very welcoming and accommodation on our arrival, providing us with her local knowledge and advice for what to do in the area and offering to book a restaurant for us for the evening. I can honestly say that the nights sleep I had there was one of the best I have had in months! And the breakfast was fantastic - in particular the bacon - yummy!! Nothing was too much trouble. Overall a fantastic place and I hope I get to visit again,

Our stay at Bod Gwynedd B&B began with a warm welcome and a pot of tea.Our host, Beverly, was most attentive to our every needs.Our room was very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated.She was kind enough to make dinner reservations for us each evening. And she above and beyond, volunteering to mail the slippers I left behind to our next stop!

We stayed in Bod Gwynedd last weekend while clmbing and racing in Snowdonia. We have stayed in Betws B&Bs several times over the last few years and Bod Gwynedd is the best yet - very comfortable bedrooms, spotless en-suite with good shower and immense breakfasts. Highly recommended!

Spent the weekend of 01 May to 04 May 2015 in Betws-y-coed, staying at Bod Gwynedd B&B with a couple of mates. From the moment we arrived our host, Beverley, was welcoming, friendly and attentive. We did not see Joseph, however, if he was responsible for the excellent breakfast, then a big "thanks" from us all. The two rooms that we occupied were pleasingly well furnished with an excellent modern walk in shower. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, our host was always on hand to provide advice if needed for booking tables at restaurants (recommended)or what-to-do in Snowdonia and as mentioned before, the brekkie was lovely. All-in-all, a great weekend at Bod Gwynedd.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay. We were made to feel very welcome, and from the location to the food to the rooms to the service, it's easy to see why it's regarded as the best B&B in Betws-y-coed. Next time we're in that part of the world, we'll be straight back to this place. Thank you.

This gorgeous B and B was beautifully decorated and immaculately turned out with attention to every last detail. The most important thing however was Bev hosting. We stayed at Bod Gwynedd as a present from our family over the Easter break, the hospitality and service was excellent, do not hesitate to book here as we would certainly return.Breakfast was of a high standard always piping hot and our room was spotless.We were even given a special chocolate in our room on Easter Sunday and a homemade Welsh cake when we left.A lovely place to stay.

We (myself and two teenage daughters) stayed at Bod Gwynedd for two nights in April 2014. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was first class. We were made to feel very welcome.Good location an easy walk into town.

Bod Gwynedd was a lovely B&B. We stayed in the Four Poster Room, room 3, which was decorated beautifully and had lots of toiletries, fresh flowers and beautiful soft towels. Even though our room was at the front of the house it was really quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.

Let me start by saying that this is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. I did a lot of research when looking for a place to stay close to Snowdon and hopefully I can save you some time by saying; look no further, book your stay here.If you're planning on doing some walking, Bod Gwynedd really caters for walkers. They have trays for boots by the front door and a room upstairs for drying. The place is also a lovely temperature to come back to after a cold day up Snowdon.The best part of our stay had to be the owner, Beverley. She made us feel very welcome and catered for our dietary needs exceptionally well. We had the vegetarian breakfasts which were delicious! Upon booking I had forgot to mention that my partner is lactose intolerant. However, this was no problem for Beverley as she had some soya milk just in case and made sure there was always some to hand in the room and at breakfast.Her knowledge of the area was a huge help, especially in advance of our first trip up Snowdon. She even managed to book us a table at Ty Gwynn at short notice.I cannot fault our stay at Bod Gwynedd and have recommended this B&B to a few people who plan to visit soon. We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful B&B in a beautiful setting. Bev made us very welcome from opening the front door. The four poster room which we stayed in was faultless and immaculate. The breakfast was lovely and Bev was very informative about the area, all in all a lovely stay and we wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

From the outset, Bev was very welcoming. First off location. The Bod Gwynedd is located on the A5 with the lovely meandering river Dee directly opposite. We stayed in Room One on the ground floor. The room was spacious and lovely, bright and clean. The on-suite was spotless and was large but only contained a shower no bath. All the facilities were great, from providing bottled water in our room, to complimentary Tea/Coffee, biscuits and Galaxy choc drinks.There was also a fridge outside our room to use for our 'wine' and plenty of DVD's if you fancied a quiet night in.The breakfast was first class, lovely fresh fruit and yoghurts to home cooked breakfasts. My partner is wheat intolerant, and Bev was more than happy to provide Gluten free break and veggie sausages etc as required. Would we stay again....most certainly my only disappointment was that we didn't stay for a little longer. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you to Bev and Joe.

We are climbers/mountaineers and stay in Betwys-coed as often as we can. We've stayed in most of the many B&B's and Bod Gwynedd is head and shoulders above them all.Exceptionally clean B&B throughout.Extremely thoughtful and friendly owners. Nothing is too much trouble.Great Parking at the front of the B&B.Great location a 5 minute stroll into the centre.We are porridge monsters fuelling our adventures, although it wasn't on the menu we asked and it was provided to a high standard every morning.Although we didn't have the cooked breakfast it looked and smelt amazing.We always find there is room for improvement where ever we stay, however cannot find fault at all here.A absolute Jewel well done Bod Gwynedd.

Really enjoyed our stay at Bod Gwynedd,beautiful property, fabulous room with comfy bed and power shower, great hosts and delicious breakfast.

I would definitely stay here again.The owners are very welcoming.The rooms are very clean, breakfasts with plenty of choice and generous portions, although it is on the main road it was quiet at night. The owners are very helpful on recommending restaurants and advising which ones require booking.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Room 2 for 6 nights and it was an excellent experience. We arrived by train and Bev and Joe were kind enough to pick us up from the train station. The room was large and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was warm with a strong steady current. The best part was the breakfast which included a selection from salmon and scrambled eggs, english breakfast or bacon sandwich and a range of fruits, cereals, etc. All in all, this place is excellent and we would stay here again!

We had a lovely time at Bod Gwynedd. The location is perfect for exploring the village and the many beautiful walks nearby. The room was spacious, well furnished, comfy and immaculately clean, the breakfasts were top notch, and the hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. I cannot recommend Bod Gwynedd highly enough, and I hope I get the opportunity to stay there again.

We thought this accommodation was very good in all areas.The stay was enhanced by the lovely lady in charge (although I'm afraid her name evades me right now, sorry!).We liked touches like the excellent fruit salad offered alongside breakfast in the morning, a residents fridge as well as the high standard of finish in the decor.

I have been to thisB&B twice nowin 2 years and I honestly don't know why you would want to go anywhere else.The rooms are quiet, very well decorated and 10/10 for cleanliness.The hostess is a genuinely very friendly person who provides an excellent service.The free roadside parking just makes life so much easier and the scenic 5 minute walk from the B&B to the heart of betws-y-coed is ideal because the centre can get very busy and crowded which I find quite stressful.Honestly can't see how there can be anywhere better to stay. There's even a selection of DVDS to choose from at the end of the night after a long days hiking.

My husband feels this is the best B&B he has ever stayed in! And I think it was wonderful, too. The owner helped us with restaurant reservations, Snowdonia train info, and cooked a great full English breakfast, The room was immaculate, well decorated and comfortable. Parking was outside on the street--not a problem. Would highly recommend this to anyone!

My fiancee and I have just returned from two wonderful nights at Bod Gwynedd B&B. Beverley was a superb hostess,friendly and very welcoming. She was a wealth of local information, telling us where to visit and the best places to eat. The rooms were beautifully furnished and decorated with fresh flowers giving a special touch. Breakfast was superb with a wide choice.We would definitely recommend Bod Gwynedd to anyone wanting a lovely place to stay in Betws y Coed. We would like to thank Beverley and her husband for making our stay so special and hope to visit again soon.

Incredible Hosts, fantastic breakfast, and a lovely comfortable bedroom.Our room wasn't large, but our bed was a Super King size which was more important to us for sleeping!

We were looking to just stay one night as we were due to collect two cats elsewhere the next day.We found Bod Gwynedd on Trip Adviser and booked the room on line.Our stay was marked by courteous hosts, a nice room and a great breakfast which kept us going all day.Our only small criticism would be that a summer duvet would have been most welcome in the heat of the night.

We stayed last week for two nights and it was the loveliest B&B we have stayed in for a long time. The breakfast was perfect, room and beds and bathroom clean, generous and comfortable, the price was reasonable for location and accommodation and Beverley is a warm, lovely person who made us laugh a lot! Heartily recommend this to anyone - we are two friends in our early thirties new to trekking, and felt really welcome and we climbed Snowdon happily and had two fantastic dinners in the lovely restaurants recommended to us.

I stayed with my two daughters for two nights.We found the rooms to be very comfortable and the breakfast was also of a good standard. We would definitely stay again on another occasion.

We spent 2 nights in this lovely place in outstanding nature. Bev was really helpul and we simply loved her breakfast!

We arrived on a very warm day and the owner greeted us with a big cold bottle of mineral water which was very welcome.Our room was spotlessly clean, we had a big comfortable bed.A short walk into town for dinner, a very quiet and peaceful sleep and a nice breakfast.We had no trouble parking out front.I highly recommend this B&B if you are travelling in the area.

We love visiting Betws-y-coed and have stayed at different hotels, cottages and B&B's in the area but this is by far the best we have had the pleasure to stay in. The room (4) was delightful with a lovely view of the river walk across the road. Although it is on the main A5 it was very quite and we enjoyed a good comfortable nights sleep both nights (Saturday & Sunday) It is well placed for the town center and all the nearby walks ( I would recommend walking up Llyn Elsi to the lovely raised lake in the forest). The property is fantastic, clean, bright and welcoming. Bev made us feel very welcome and always had time for a chat and Joe cooked a lovely breakfast, I tried the scrambled egg and salmon which was very nice. The room was spotlessly clean with tea & coffee always topped up and fresh bottled water always in the room. The gardens were also well kept and there was always plenty of parking spaces. We loved this place and will stay here every time we visit Betws-y-coed from now on. Can not wait to visit again. PS Thank you Bev for the very tasty barra brith which we had with a cup of tea after the long drive home.

Whilst planning a four-night break in North Wales to celebrate our friend’s birthday – we were drawn to Bod Gwyenedd as a result of its location and excellent reviews - and we were not disappointed.The rooms we booked for our friends and ourselves were perfect.All the reviews I read were true – Plus Breakfast was Spot-On.The location was brilliant – and we did everything planned, which included going up Snowdon on the Heritage Train and travelling on the Conwy Valley Train to Blaenau Ffestiniog and Llandudno. A real home from home in a lovely location.We enjoyed our stay with Bev and Joe at Bod Gwynedd.The house is a substantial stone building which has been tastefully modernised whilst retaining the orignal character.Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful and made our stay in Betws-y-Coed a pleasure.The accommodation was comfortable, convenient for the attractions of the town and the breakfasts were certainly one of the best we have had in any hotel.Little touches such as the tea and Bev's home made barra brith, when we arrived, made our stay memorable.We would recommend this lovely accommodation highly

I stayed in room 1 which is a twin room, with my son. The room was very clean and well maintained with all the usual bits and bobs. The fresh water and juice was a nice touch. Bev and Joe are great and very helpful without being ott. The location is also good with plenty of parking space and only a 5 min walk into the village. All in all a great B&B. I would have given 5 stars had the breakfast not been an "order the night before" job. The food is very good but I don't like having to order the night before as often I don't really know what I want until the morning. I'd rather wait longer for the food than pre-order. Cheers

We were made very welcome. our room was well appointed and beautifully clean. Bev, our hostess, was fantastically helpful. Breakfast was top quality and freshly cooked. Our stay was really enjoyable, made all the better by knowing we had a lovely place to go back to, with plenty of hot water. we would happily recommend Bod Gwynedd to friends and family. We will almost certainly go back there in the future.

We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at Bod Gwynedd.Bev was the perfect host, from the initial email offering to book us dinner at the delicious Bistro (highly recommended), the very welcome tea & cake on arrival after a long & wet drive from London, and the delicious breakfast every morning.We would love to come back and explore more of this beautiful area, and stay at Bod Gwynedd again.

Stayed here middle of May. The Bod Gwynedd isdeserved of it's good reviews, whether they be on its own website or Travelzoo. On arrival we were greeted warmly by the Hosts and shown to Room 5. The room was very comfortable and immaculately clean, with tea, coffee, biscuits, fresh, fluffy towels and a hot shower. The breakfasts were all freshly cooked and very tasty with a varied selection and options for vegetarians. All in all this B & B delivers everything you would expect from a top rated B & B

I booked 7 RSPB committee members into Bod Gwynedd for a 4 night stay. Bev and Joe could not have been more welcoming. Food and rooms were excellent and I have no hesitation in rating Bod Gwynedd as a 5 star establishment.

Our stay at Bod Gwynedd was very comfortable. The room was a tad small but cosy and clean. It was well equipped with nice fluffy towels, shower gel, body lotion shampoo etc and a hair dryer. Beverley was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was just right - not too much, not too little and beautifully cooked. We will definitely consider going there again.

What makes a holiday perfect?....a stay with Bod Gwynedd who gave us a warm welcome, excellent breakfasts and rooms to sleep in that were so comfortable that getting up was the problem!. The service offered was second to none in our experience.

Don't know it young couple really applies to us but hey ho!! Just returned after a fabulous three night stay at the Bod Gwynedd and can't recommend it highly enough! Lovely rooms that are well furnished with high quality furniture and the comfiest bed ever. Great location with free parking ,in waking distance of the main town and local eateres but far out enough to be peaceful and relaxing . Great breakfast served by a lovely host Bev who couldn't have been more helpful. Would definatley consider Bod Gwynedd again for a stay in Smowdonia

We have returned to Betws-y-Coed after nearly 33 years. We had a comfortable stay and were well looked after. Bev has a great personality and very hospitable. Joe's breakfasts were beautifully cooked and presented. The house is on the main road,on the edge of the village, within easy walking distance. The road is quiet at night and we had a choice of good places to eat within Betws itself. It makes a good base from which to see the stunning scenery of North Wales. We would definitely recommend Bod Gwynedd to others.

We usually choose soulless chain hotels for our weekends away so I was keen to find a 'home from home' B&B. The reviews on TripAdvisor led us here and we are so pleased they did! A ten minute walk from the Bistro leads you to Beverley's front door - a warm welcome, huge locally sourced breakfasts and lots of local knowledge (Bev is even planning the zip ride later this year so she can confidently review it)! The B&B is immaculate and comfortable throughout with oak furniture, slate flooring, fresh flowers and little touches like accommodating dietary requests effortlessly. Homemade bara brith for the return journey is true hospitality. Do not stay anywhere else!

Bod Gwynedd is perfectly situated. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was just perfect and the Owners were very friendly and informative. One of the few times I've actually felt as comfortable as I would in my own home.

We had five nights recently at Bod Gwynedd, wonderfully hosted by Bev and Joe. The overall standard was 1st class; comfy bed, clean and tidy room, a shower that works and coffee and biscuits replenished each day. You'll get a wholesome breakfast, made with local ingredients and Bev even sent us on our travels with a homemade Bara Brith doggy bag! It's an easy 10 min walk to some nice bars and restaurants, so do check it out sometime!

It was our first time visiting this part of Wales and we weren't disappointed despite the rain. We were made to feel very welcome from the start. Our room was warm and comfortable with a lovely view towards the river. Breakfast was very good quality and nicely cooked and presented. Hope to come back again some time.

After slumming it for several days, arriving at this b&b was fantastic. The room was immaculately clean and well decorated. The pillows were soft and the mattress just right. I particular liked the little touches- ample complementary teas, coffee and hot choc in the room, the basket of hand lotion, etc and the drawer of dvds downstairs to play on the tv. Breakfast in the morning was fab- even had veggie sausages. All in all i would definitely recommend this place to friends and would stay here again.

Great place, hosts, lovely breakfasts, free wi-fi and close to all amenities. Rooms are above average and very comfortable. Only about 20 minutes or so from Llanberis Pass, Conwy etc. Would definitely stay again.

We arrived to a warm welcome from Bev and a bright, clean, well equipped room. It was a great base for visiting Snowdonia and, being on the edge of the village, was quiet and undisturbed. A very comfortable bed and free WiFi were important features, as was the good breakfast. We thoroughly recommend Bod Gwynedd!

It was a lovely stay, the owners could not do enough for us.Good choice of breakfast, food was very hot, room was very clean and plenty of extras such as bottled water, biscuits etc.We were on the edge of village and were even given a free lift down to the restaurant on our first evening.We would recommend this bed and breakfast to friends.

There's always some apprehension when booking somewhere to stay but when the owner,Beverley, opened the front door with her genuine smile and welcoming words we knew instinctively we had made a good choice for a 2 night stay.We did not realise that we had in fact made a fantastic choice as we explored our ground-floor bedroom and eventually breakfast. The room was furnished and fitted to a very high standard and exceptionally clean and serviced each day. The high standards reflect the pride that the owners have in their business. We were so impressed and then so lucky to find that there was a room available for another night's stay ~ we relocated upstairs to the 4-poster bedroom for another great experience. So, our original 2 night plan became a 3 night stay. The final individual item for praise was Joe's poached eggs ~ absolute perfection every time.Bod GwYedd will be our first choice for accommodation whenever we visit Betws-y-Coed for more photography and we will have no hesitation in recommending Bod Gwynedd to family and friends and to anyone else who is looking for top quality accommodation in North Wales.Our best regards and thanks to Beverley and Joe for hosting us during our stay and the best of luck with your business. I would recommend this hotel to a close friend. Lovely people and couldn't do enough for you, comfortable and spotlessly clean hotel, substantial breakfast and in a great location, just a short stroll from the centre of Betws-Y-Coed. More homely than a big chain hotel. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

The room was very comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome by Beverley and Joseph. Hospitality tray and toiletries were above the ordinary,eg Galaxy drinking choc sachets!, and we appreciated the attention to detail, eg decaf tea bags were also provided in our room after requesting decaf tea at breakfast. There was also a wide choice for breakfast, of cereals, fruits, yoghurts and cooked food, and a pleasant, light dining room to eat in.

We stayed here last weekend for one night as we were climbing Snowdon. It's a great B&B. Bev, the owner is lovely, she booked a great restaurant in town for us and even offered to drive us there. The room is lovely, we had Room 1 at the front. Bed so comfortable, complimentary tea, coffee and water, and a really tasty breakfast that she cooked herself. We would definitely go back, highly recommended. The restaurant that we went to was called Bistro Betws-Y-Coed, which is a ten minute walk into town. Food was great and reasonably priced.

Very refreshing to stay in the UK where the room was extremely clean and well kept. The bed was perfect and we could not fault anything about our stay; unlike so many other UK establishments. No hesitation in coming back to stay here again in the future - highly reccomended.

Very pleased with our stay at the Bod Gwynedd.The room was lovely, the little extras such as water and choc mint was a nice touch, access to a guest fridge was also useful.The owner Bev was very friendly and helpful and made us feel like it was a home from home. The breakfast was great.Pretty much perfect stay overall. Only small improvement would be to put a blind up over the bathroom window for use when the light is on in the evening. However, overall would love to stay again and I highly recommend to others.

My husband and I were warmly welcomed in our arrival by Joe, and Bev was equally welcoming at breakfast the next morning. Our room was bright and clean, and breakfast was very hearty - the eggs with salmon could have fed me all day! We also loved the Welsh bread that Bev sent us away with on our last day. All in all I would be happy to recommend Bod Gwynedd to anyone traveling to Northern Wales!

Our family filled 4 rooms of this pretty house.The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were immaculate. The welcome tray came with complimentary bottled water, biscuits as well as tea, coffee and chocolate.There was no road noise and the village is a pleasant 5 minute walk. Bev was very helpful and cheerful, she went out of her way to make us comfortable. Would highly recommend. Breakfast was plentiful.

I stayed for 2 nights on a short weekend trip with my sister and the room was amazing! Beds were very comfortable and room was spacious (: We intended to climb Snowdon but didn't have any suitable hiking attire. Bev was kind enough to lend us some boots, waterproofs and gloves - wouldn't have survived the cold up on Snowdon without them! She even gave us advice on where to park and what routes to take. Breakfast was splendid (:Both my sister and I enjoyed our stay with them thoroughly.When we left a pair of shoes in the room by mistake after checking out, Bev tried contacting us to see if we were still in the area so that we could go back and collect them.Both Bev and her husband are very friendly and helpful. By nature a whinging old git, its a pleasure for once not to have to indulge and be able to say that this is one top rated B+B that's worth its rating. Bev and Joe were genuinely a pleasure to meet, the bedroom was immaculate and the breakfast excellent.

Loved our stay here. The room was immaculate, with a huge bed and nice shower en suite. We were made to feel relaxed and welcome. Breakfast was excellent and there were some useful added extras, such as the print out of the mountain weather forecast each morning.

Bod Gwynedd is an excellent B&B in the wonderful town of Betws-y-Coed.It is in a perfect location - walking distance to town but not right in the middle of all the congestion.My room was immaculately clean, the breakfast was excellent and the owners were extremely helpful and pleasant.They even provided me with hiking maps and suggestions for hiking and even gave me a flask of hot chocolate to take on one of my hiking trips. They were clearly interested in making my visit to Betws-y-Coed a pleasant experience.I recommend this B&B.

Stayed for two nights last weekend.We have stayed at Betws-y-Coed a few times whilst taking our sons to Bangor Uni, but this has to be the best B&B we have stayed in.Our room with the four poster bed was absolutely beautiful with a great view of river and hillside, the ensuite was just as nice with a great shower. Nothing was to much trouble for the hosts Bev and Joe.Breakfast was great cooked to your orderplaced the previous night .A lovely stay made even more special by friendly hosts.We hope to be back soon,and would not hesitate to recommend this B&B.

We arrived the day after walking Snowden - legs aching and exhausted. We were met by Beverley who gave us a warm welcome and shown to our twin bedded room. What comfort! The room was very tastefully decorated and so comfotable it more than exceeded our expectation. The bathroom modern and spotlessly clean The house itself is a home from home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We dined at the chinese restuarant only 10 min walk away which was perfect for our aching limbs. I would thoroughly recommend this real find of a B & B.

Bod Gwynedd is a lovely B&B, with comfortable rooms and good showers - essential after a day's walking. We were made to feel really welcome and that nothing was too much trouble, from unusual food requests for breakfasts to help with finding an emergency detist!

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Bod Gwynedd for three nights and have a wonderful time.The couple running the B+B were very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed.The breakfast was delicious and everything that we could have wanted was provided.The location was excellent with only a five minute walk to the centre of the village.The room was beautifully decorated with a lovely mix of modern and traditional.The power shower was also excellent.The only thing that my girlfriend noticed was the slight smell of damp in the bedroom.Had a fabulous time and wouldn't hesitate recommending it to friends and family.

Stayed here for 3 nights, my 13 and 10 yr old boys with me in a family room and my Dad in a second room. The standard of cleanliness and overall quality were beyond anything I've seen previously in a B&B. The cooked breakfasts were perfect, with a wide variety of extras - cereals, fruit, and all the trimmings. We felt very welcome. The balance of friendliness and privacy was, like everything else, perfect. Many thanks for a lovely stay. I would go back without a second thought.

The room was perfect and comfortable and the DVDs in the drawer were a great touch as was the full refreshments tray with excellent biscuits. Bev was also really friendly, to the extent of leaving out sunscreen for us before we set off up Snowdon.

My recent 4 night stay at Bod Gwynedd is my third in as many years.I've stayed at a few of the local B&Bs and feel welcome and relaxed here more than anywhere.Bev made every effort to see that I was comfortable and had everything I needed.I did; a lovely comfortable room, very clean, great breakfast, even a weather report, so I know what to wear out on the hills.I'd thoroughly recommend Bod Gwynedd to anybody wanting to stay somewhere nice to relax after exploring the area.

We had an excellent stay at Bod. Bev and Joe could not have been more welcoming, from offering to collect us from the train station to letting us use their boiler room to dry our very wet walking gear. The rooms were of a very high standard and the spotlessly clean. The breakfast was also excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend Bod and only hope I can find another reason to visit Betws and stay at Bod!

We stayed in the ground floor room as you enter the building. It was such a lovely cosy room. The en-suite was fitted with top quality shower. The hosts were very nice welcoming people. The breakfast was lovely. We will be returning again. There is a great walk near along the road following the stream, and a brilliant pub which the host can point you to. We visited the mountain breathtaking views. The village surrounding this place is lovely. You won't regret this place. I'm sorry it has taking me this long to post my review we stayed for a week over our anniversary in June 2011. Its a shame there are only five stars I would rate higher

We stayed in a room number three which boasts a fourposter bed and upmarket power shower. The bed was so comfortable Iasked Beverley to supply me with the mattress, overlay and quilt details so that I can replicate this at home. It is the most comfortable and clean place to stay with the most welcoming of hosts, Beverley and Joe. If you can go the extra mile I recommend staying in room three, we thought it was worth the little extra cost. Absolutely faultless. Gary and Rosie Mills

We had never stayed in a B&B before so werent quite sure what to expect but Bod Gwynedd was everything we had hoped for.Our room (5) was comfortable and clean.The ensuite was clearly quite new and very usable.Breakfast was good and very filling with something for everyone.The house is ideally situated on the edge of Betsy, close enough to walk(less than 5 mins) but quite despite being on the main road. A great base to explore Snowdonia, would definitely return and recommend to friends.

My wife and I stayed for two nights whilst meeting with a motorcycle club in the area. The room was excellent, fresh, clean and had everything we wanted. The owners were very friendly and helpful and even ran us up to the pub nearby a couple of times as it was a 45 minute walk. Breakfast was excellent although I think the time slot was a little restricting if like me you like a lie in. I think this is the same in most B&Bs though. The owners were also very helpful in allowing me to park my motorbike off the road so it was secure and assisted me in drying my gear when it was soaked (welcome to Wales!). The location is a little bit outside of the village and pubs etc - depends if you are happy to have a reasonable walk back at night - Taxis are in short supply. It helped me sober up! Nice place, nice people, would go back anytime and as new owners I hope they are successful.

Me and my father had a very nice stay last weekend in Bod Gwynedd, we went to Betws Y Coed for walking in the area (climbed Mt. Snowdon and Rhinog Fawr). We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back next time we go to Snowdonia. Our room was lovely, neither particularly large nor small, but perfect for our three-night stay and immaculately clean. The room and the house in general has a crisp, newly renovated feel to it (freshly painted walls and fresh flowers) - and the decoration is tastefully understated, our room having white walls with blue carpets and curtains. Very pleasant, and clean, modern bathroom with nice toiletries. Beverly and Joseph, the new owners (since a couple of weeks ago), are very warm, pleasant and ever-helpful. They gave us good restaurant recommendations, and the breakfast is great. Beverly also made us nice lunch-packs for our walks, on one day even in spite of our early departure for Snowdon. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I went for 3 nights stayed in room 2 and planned to go walking for the weekend, the B&B is situated perfectly just a short walk away from the centre of the village.There is ample parking out the front of the house and the rooms are a great size and perfectly clean.Our hosts were lovely so friendly and helpful, really attentive and even had a drying roomfor our wet stuff!I have a nut allergy and am vegetarian and was very well catered for, we even had the pack lunch for walking up Snowdon which was just perfect.I don’ t think it could be better .. thank you for a wonderful stay!

Warm, welcoming lovely people! Joe and Beverley and Jessica made us feel so welcome and considering they had only been there for 2 weeks they had got everything perfect! Our room was lovely, breakfast was excellent, location was perfect, just a short walk to the village yet out of the way of the hustle and bustle of a real busy village! We will definitely return sometime in the future and will highly recommend this B and B to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

Very clean well decorated room. Excellent shower. Very good breakfast.

The B&B is beautiful and we had a lovely stay. The bed was amazing and the breakfast superb. Only downside was the noise of the road and the fact that the water pipes went down the side of the wall, could hear everything. Only a minor thing though.Family was very welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay, great food, great location, lovely walk into the town only downside road noise but next time ill book a room on the back.

Beautiful B&B, Owners extremely helpful and sorted us out with a fantastic meal on our first night at the Bistro, which we were very grateful for. The location is excellent, our room the 4-poster room was very comfortable and well furnished with a superb shower, and in the morning a substantial and well cooked breakfast, all in all a very enjoyable stay and we would highly recommend this B&B to anyone.

Had a fantastic stay, the owners were really friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast and catered for us veggies! The room was gorgeous and really clean, thanks for having us!

I have stayed in three other b&b in Betws-y-coed over the last 4 years and I must say Bob Gwynedd is the top of the list. Great friendly welcome, the rooms were so bright and clean and after breakfasr you felt as if you don't have to eat all day.a perfect 3 day break.The Griffiths family

My mother, myself, my sister & her partner all had a fabulous time at this guest house.it was spotless and beautifully decorated.David did a sterling job of looking after everyone whilst Mary-Anne was in hospital. He was so down to earth and approachable and we thought he was just so lovely and chatty.Congrats on the birth of the new baby and Mary-Ann you have done a fab job on the decorating and David you have done a fab job on the re-structuring.Good luck in the future with everything you do!

We stayed at Bob Gwynedd B&B for three nights whilst on a walking holiday in Snowdonia. We were made to feel most welcolme. We were provided with weather forecasts and given recommendations on where to eat in the evenings. We will stay there again when in the area. Very satisfied with everything.

Went with friend for a few days away following recommendation. Great location, 5-10 minute walk into village which means parking is easy and close enough to walk into village. Plenty of walks in the area and bus stop just outside to take you further away if you wish to leave the car alone.Well run and friendly environment; would certainly return.

Great room, delicious breakfast, beautiful location and possibly one of the friendliest couples in Wales - this is the sort of B&B that you just can't beat. We will be back.
